These terms apply to the mobile game Hearsay Hollow ("the game"), developed by Infinity Gaming and published by Iconix Solutions, Waterford, Ireland. By playing you agree to them.
1. Using the game
The game is for personal entertainment. Follow applicable laws and do not interfere with the game or its services, exploit bugs, tamper with saved progress or purchases, or access someone else’s account. The game is not directed at children under 13.
2. Accounts and progress
You can play as a guest or sign in with Google. A guest account is tied to this installation of the game; if you uninstall it or clear its data while playing as a guest, your progress cannot be restored. Upgrade to a Google account in Settings > Account to keep your progress across devices. Progress is stored as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
3. Advertising
The game is free and includes a full-screen ad after completed levels (not in the first three tutorial levels), banners on the menu screens, and an optional ad for one hint.
4. Purchases
Two optional purchases are sold through Google Play. Remove Ads is a subscription that costs €1.30 a month (or the local price shown in Google Play), renews automatically every month until you cancel, and removes the full-screen ads and banners; the optional hint ad remains available. Cancel or manage it in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep the benefit until the end of the paid period. The Hint Pack is a one-time purchase of 10 hints for €0.99 (or the local price); hints are added straight away and are used up when you reveal a hint. Billing, refunds and price changes follow Google Play’s policies and your statutory rights.
5. In-game items
Stars, scores and streaks are earned in the game. Hints are earned in the game or bought in Hint Packs. Stars and hints have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, sold or transferred. We may rebalance levels, scoring, hints and rewards to keep the game fair.
6. Daily Rumour
A new Daily Rumour is available every day and is the same for every player on the same date. It brings recognition and streaks only, with no prize or monetary value.
7. Reminders
If you turn them on, the game may send Daily Rumour reminders and occasional game news. Turn them off at any time in Settings > Reminders or in your phone’s settings.
8. Sharing
Shared results are created on your device and sent only where you choose.
9. Intellectual property
The game, its levels, characters, artwork, sounds and code belong to us or our licensors. The Poppins typeface is used under the SIL Open Font License. You get a personal, non-transferable permission to play; no ownership transfers to you.
10. Updates and availability
We may update, change or discontinue features. Sign-in, cloud backup and reminders need an internet connection and can be briefly unavailable during maintenance.
11. Data and deletion
Our privacy policy explains how data is handled. You can delete your account in Settings > Account > Delete account or via the account deletion page.
12. Statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law.
13. Changes and contact
